The Black Bear Story

Black Bear Incense Company began hand dipping and selling incense in 2004 at our store in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Because of the high quality of the products we were producing, other businesses in the area soon began asking to sell our incense at their stores as well.

After redesigning the incense with color-coded tops and creating our unique display stand, we decided to branch out and offer our superior products for sale to other retailers across the country.

Black Bear maintains a commitment to personalized customer support and to the high quality of our product lines. We don't just want to sell incense, we want to sell the best incense available on the market today in a manner that is in keeping with our belief in being a good business practitioner.

In order to accomplish this, we created Black Bear to be an environmentally friendly company that is committed to helping other small businesses in our area.

Our display stands are made by a local wood craftsman living in the next town over. He produces the unfinished stands from wood sold by a local lumber yard, not a giant box-store seller.

Our labels, printed materials and logos also were produced locally by a graphic designer who owns his own business.

It might cost a little bit more to operate a company this way, but we feel that it is a small price to pay to be a responsible member of the business community.
